For those seeking a laid-back, cozy restaurant serving brunch & light meals (plus smoothies & cocktails), Le Bon offers all of this and more from their cosy and well-designed location in the heart of Kreuzberg.
Founded by owner Johanna, Le Bon has been serving weekly changing, modern European cuisine in Kreuzberg/Neukölln since February 2014. Over nearly a decade, Johanna and her team have cemented themselves as a brunch institution – and one that once you're inside, you won't want to leave.
The venue is an inconspicuous corner café that from the outside, looks much smaller than it is. From the first room astaircase leads up to the actual breakfast area, which is dominated in the middle by a large wooden table.
To add to the atmosphere, the walls are painted white and black, the lighting is dimmed, the interior is made of dark wood and there is a wonderful smell of coffee is everywhere.
Although the menu is constantly changing, Le Bon has some famous dishes that keep their loyal clientele coming back for more and more. Among these are their famous pancakes, which have been praised in a number of publications and in a countless number of positive reviews.
For coffee lovers, Le Bon offers beans from Field Coffee, which they lovingly prepare on a La Marzocco machine. Our recommendation is to try an oat milk flat white with the Milky Way blend, and to try at least two dishes from their brunch menu – so come hungry, or bring a friend to share with!
