Cafe Schröder

Located on the quiet side street of Schröderstraße in the vibrant Mitte district, Cafe Schröder has created a space where people of all ages and persuasions gather to enjoy great company, food and coffee.

Cafe Schröder was opened in Berlin's Mitte in May 2022The stylish neighbourhood café, run by sisters Rachel and Lea, is located a short distance from the bustling Nordbahnhof and the restaurant and cafe-filled Torstraße.

In addition to offering a range of 'classic' bites, including things like sandwiches with hummus, or a salad with orange and fennel, the Cafe Schröder team also are masters of more elegant dishes – think fluffy buttermilk pancakes with apricots, and papaya boats with fruit, yogurt, fresh compote and house made crunchy peanut granola.

Cafe Schröder offers a place to not only stop for brunch and a sweet treat – they also stock a range of selected, natural wines from Nature's Calling, locally baked bread from Frea Bakery, and of course, coffee beans from Field Coffee.

Each time you visit Rachel, Lea and the team you are welcomed not just as a guest, but as a member of their family. Over the last few years they have cultivated a strong community tie between their two venues; when you stop by, you'll notice groups of friends, or family members sitting together with strollers and dogs, enjoying how this space welcomes and celebrates them.

Of course, such a wonderful venue is pretty popular – there might be a short wait for tables, but it's well worth it. After you've sat in for a well-earned brunch, grab a takeaway coffee (or a whole bag), a bottle of wine and stroll to the nearby Mauerpark. Sounds like a perfect day to us!
