Located at the base of a modern building in Berlin's Mitte district, KASCHK by BRLO is where a love of beer and coffee come together – and are heartily celebrated!
In 2014, a tiny, young team from the BRLO brewery sat in a small bar called KASCHK and toasted their first success. The bar was well-known in craft beer circles and over the years, had become the meeting place for all BRLO employees for a freshly-tapped beer, happy hour, on the weekend and well ... all the time!
Unfortunately, the pandemic hit the small KASCHK team hard in 2020 and the future of their favorite bar seemed uncertain. But as luck would have it, operator Dave Chaplin was the brother of the manager of the BRLO brewhouse, Ally Chaplin. So, the idea of “BRLO-izing” the KASCHK bar was born, combining the two brands as a collaborative venture.
In Autumn 2021, the bar reopened as “KASCHK by BRLO”. As usual, the list of draft beers reflected the diversity of small craft breweries, and the team further extended their in-house offerings with coffee beans from Field Coffee. The biggest innovation, however, was probably the menu - the team created a menu featuring pickled and fermented vegetables, and charcuterie from Berlin, and a range of late-night snacks that go well with every beer from morning until late at night.
Like the old BRLO team, our team loves to meet at KASCHK by BRLO for a team beer (or coffee, depending on the time). The communal tables, comfortable seating and wide range of beers means that everyone who visits is cosy and happy. tThe only problem is leaving – trust us, you'll have such a good time that you'll forget how long you've been there!
