Since opening in the heart of Neukölln in 2018, Carolin Wilke’s namesake cafe, WILKE has taken pride in its identity as a neighbourhood cafe – a place where members of the community meet, gather and treat themselves to something special.
Serving a range of impeccable and Instagram-able dishes, ranging from healthy bowls to flavour-filled Shakshuka, WILKE attaches great importance to organic, regional and housemade produce. They make all their cakes in-house, and source most of their other products from local partners and suppliers.
Although we’re a sucker for a classic dish like eggs on toast (with all the sides, of course), we can’t pass up one of their famous toasted sandwiches with homemade pickles, accompanied with a flat white with the Milky Way blend. Best enjoyed with our favourite activity: taking a seat on the window bench, and watching the world pass you by.
