Lelit Bianca PL162T, Dual Boiler Espresso Machine with Flow Control

The Lelit Bianca is Lelit's flagship home espresso machine and one of the most respected prosumer machines made. Dual boilers, commercial L58E group, rotary pump, and, the feature the Bianca is known for, a manual flow control paddle on the group head that lets you shape the extraction shot by shot. It's the machine you buy when you've mastered everything a dual boiler can do and want to start profiling extractions the way commercial shot-profiling machines do.

Understated design, maple wood details on the black and white versions, the quiet confidence of equipment that has nothing left to prove.

Manual flow control, the Bianca's defining feature

A physical paddle on the group head gives you direct control over water flow rate during the shot. Start slow to bloom the puck, ramp up for the main extraction, ease off at the end to tame bitterness, all by feel, all in real time. This is manual pressure profiling on a prosumer machine, and it's the feature that puts the Bianca in a different conversation from every other home espresso machine at its price.

Commercial L58E group

The same L58E brew group used on the MaraX, here paired with dual boilers and flow control. Proper thermal mass, passive preinfusion, and shot quality that holds its own against machines costing three times as much. 58mm commercial standard, so any tamper, distributor, or precision basket transfers across.

Dual boilers with PID on both

Two independent boilers mean you can pull shots and steam milk simultaneously without either compromising the other. PID control on both keeps temperatures locked where you set them, adjustable in small increments. This is the level of thermal control that takes milk texturing and shot consistency out of the variables column.

Rotary pump, plumbed or tank

Rotary pumps run quieter than vibration pumps and deliver more stable pressure across the shot. The Bianca can run from its built-in tank or be plumbed directly to a water line, useful if you're running volume or want to be rid of tank refills. Flexibility most home machines don't offer.

Built to be kept

Stainless chassis, wood accents, proper component quality throughout. The Bianca is built to be maintained and serviced rather than replaced, and it's the kind of machine that lives on a counter for a decade or more. It's also the machine Lelit owners tend to stop upgrading after, there isn't much sensible ground above it for home use.

Who the Bianca is for

The Bianca is aimed at experienced home baristas who want flow control and the final few percent of shot quality, small cafés that need one exceptional machine rather than two compromised ones, and buyers who'd rather make one investment than work through a three-machine upgrade path. If you're starting out, the Anna or Victoria is where to begin. If you already know what you want a machine to do, this is it.
